Today is International Grandparents day. Today is the day we say thank you and show our love to the elderly who give us guidance, advice, and unconditional love! Students have taken special photos to show their appreciation. Happy grandparents day.
For most grades, this week marked the first week of school. Students are practicing procedures，teachers are reinforcing class rules and everyone is getting used to their new schedules. Everyone except 7A… We’ve been in full swing for over 2 weeks now and are working harder than ever！
This week marked our student council elections! Students campaigned hard for positions like；Class President, Vice President and Secretary. They took an oath of responsibility and even learned how to run their own meetings.
“Give a man a fish and he’ll be full for the day, teach a man to fish and he’ll never go hungry.”That’s a philosophy that I share with many of my colleagues. Our aim is to introduce the building blocks of our subjects to students, so that they can create on their own and be independent.
Whether it’s learning how the mass of a balloon is measured in science class, how the elements of plot are found in every story or even creating cards for Teacher Appreciation Day, the students of 7A take responsibility for their own learning. 无论是在科学课上测量气球的质量，还是在阅读中寻找故事情节，抑或是为老师节制作卡片，7A 的同学们都认真仔细完成。
As we continue to move forward through the year, I can only imagine how much they’ll improve and what they’ll learn.
