团结努力的7A班



    8月份的时候,我知道我教导的是一门独特的课程。我的学生中有一半认识很久,另外一半是学校的新生。

    In August, I knew I was taking on a unique class. Half of my students had known each other for years, while the other half were new to our school.


    我非常好奇会发生什么。老生会接受新的同学吗?新同学会喜欢我们的班级生活吗?我是他们需要的那种老师吗?

    I was interested to see what would happen. Would the older students accept the newer ones? Would the new students enjoy life at our school? Would I be the type of teacher they needed?


    我早就预料到会一切顺利,但过去的一周使我的想法更加坚定。我们的新同学彼得和卢卡斯,成功地完成了星期一早晨升旗演讲的挑战。我对他们的进步感到无比骄傲。

    I had an Idea of what would happen, but this past week solidified it for me. Our newer students, Peter and Lucas, took on the challenge of giving the speech at the Monday Morning Flag Raising. I could not be prouder of all the improvements they had made.


    演讲稿是我们自己写的。演讲的过程中充满了艺术表现力,我很高兴听到了同学们将在ELA课上学到的隐喻、拟人、明喻运用其中。
 
    The speech itself was written by our very own, Sunny. The speech was full of artistic expression, and I was delighted to hear the metaphors, personification, and similes we learned about in ELA class.


    本周还举行了一场羽毛球比赛!出人意料的是,鲍勃和露西占据了比赛的主导地位!

    This week was also marked by a badminton competition, where the unlikely duo, Bob and Lucy, dominated the competition!


    很高兴地说,我所有的顾虑都消失了。并且我自豪地看到已经成为老生的他们迎接新的同学,培养新同学在未来成为大家的榜样!

    I’m happy to say that all of my questions were answered and proud to see the older students, ushering in the newer ones, preparing them to be future leaders in our school.
