I graduated with a BA (Hons) in English Literature in 2005, and have also completed an MA (Hons) Education: TESOL. I have been teaching since 2007, based in Japan, China (Nanjing) and Indonesia. While my experience has ranged from teaching ages 2 – 17 years, my favorite ages are without a doubt the primary levels. There is something extremely special about being able to help children as they are first beginning to explore and navigate the world. It is my belief that students need to be able to interact with their learning environment (and the world beyond it) is as many ways as possible, enabling students to nurture their natural curiosity and learn by doing rather than theory. If a child can experience and relate to the targets they are studying, they are better able to engage and love learning. I work to provide an inclusive and collaborative learning environment where children of all abilities and interests can progress.
