Fostering Collaborative Learning and Educational Excellence

    在9月和10月期间,树人学校国际高中开展了一系列教研活动,促进了教师之间的交流与合作。这些活动围绕教学理念和实践展开,为教师们提供了学习新方法和分享经验的机会。通过这些努力,我们期待进一步提升教育质量,为学生创造更好的学习环境
    During September and October, Shuren International High School organized a series of professional development activities aimed at fostering collaboration among teachers. These events focused on teaching philosophies and practices, providing opportunities to learn new methods and share experiences. Through these initiatives, we aim to enhance educational quality and create a better learning environment for students.





Event 1: Demo Lesson - Mathematics Teaching by Teacher Praveen

    新加入的数学教师Praveen在国际高中的首次Demo课中展示了他的教学方法,为其他教师提供借鉴,促进教学实践交流。这节课以“以学生为中心”的教育理念为基础,通过互动和实践展示如何提高学生学习效果。参与教师通过模拟教学深入体验了Praveen的教学策略。教师们积极讨论课程亮点,分享观察与思考,尤其关注如何将这些方法应用于自己的课堂。这种互动增强了教师间的理解与合作,为未来的教学实践注入了新的活力
    Newly appointed mathematics teacher Praveen conducted his first demo lesson at the international high school, showcasing his teaching methods aimed at providing insights for fellow educators and fostering the exchange of teaching practices. This lesson was rooted in a “student-centered” educational philosophy, demonstrating how interaction and practical engagement can enhance student learning outcomes. Participating teachers engaged in simulated teaching, gaining a deeper understanding of Praveen's strategies. The teachers actively discussed the highlights of the lesson, sharing their observations and reflections, particularly on how to implement these methods in their own classrooms. This interaction not only strengthened the understanding and collaboration among teachers but also injected new energy into future teaching practices.

Event 2: Collective Teaching Research Seminar

    集体教研会聚焦学校的价值观,特别是如何构建以学生为中心的成长型社区。教师们围绕这一主题进行了深入讨论,分享了各自的教学经验与思考,强调在教学实践中落实这些理念的重要性。讨论涉及多个关键要素,如学生技能发展、教师作为引导者的角色和个性化学习等,形成了促进学生全面发展的框架。通过此次研讨会,教师们加深了对学校价值观的理解,增强了彼此间的合作与交流,为未来的教学提供了理论支持和实践指导,奠定了积极的学习环境基础。
    The collective teaching research seminar focused on the school’s values, particularly in building a student-centered growth community. Teachers engaged in in-depth discussions around this theme, sharing their teaching experiences and insights while emphasizing the importance of implementing these principles in practice. The discussions covered several key elements, such as the development of student skills, the teacher's role as a facilitator, and the importance of personalized learning, forming a comprehensive framework that supports the holistic development of students. Through this seminar, teachers not only deepened their understanding of the school’s values but also enhanced collaboration and communication among themselves, laying a solid foundation for a positive learning environment and providing theoretical and practical support for future teaching.









Event 3: Homeroom Management Training

    由7-12年级协调员Jurgen主讲的班主任管理培训,提升了班主任在学生管理和课堂氛围营造方面的能力。此次培训聚焦于建立积极的班级文化、有效的沟通技巧以及处理班级事务的策略,为班主任提供实用指导。Jurgen分享了多种管理工具,强调良好师生关系对班级管理的重要性,提出通过积极反馈激励学生的策略。参与者积极讨论,分享各自的经验与困惑,形成了互助的氛围。这次培训提升了班主任的管理技能,增强了合作与交流,为学生创造更好的学习环境打下了坚实基础。
    The homeroom management training session, led by Jurgen, the coordinator for grades 7-12, aimed to enhance homeroom teachers' abilities in student management and creating a positive classroom atmosphere. This training focused on establishing a supportive class culture, effective communication skills, and strategies for handling class affairs, providing practical guidance for homeroom teachers. Jurgen shared various management tools, emphasizing the importance of strong teacher-student relationships for effective class management and proposing strategies for motivating students through positive feedback. Participants actively engaged in discussions, sharing their experiences and challenges, fostering a supportive atmosphere. This training not only improved the management skills of the homeroom teachers but also enhanced collaboration and communication among them, laying a solid foundation for creating a better learning environment for students.









Event 4: New Zealand Education Training

    国际高中教师们参加了由移民教育顾问Sophia Cheng主讲的新西兰教育培训,帮助教师了解新西兰的教育体系及留学政策。Sophia详细介绍了新西兰的教育结构、学制和评估体系,强调其重视学生自主学习、创造性思维及实践能力的培养。通过具体案例,她展示了新西兰学校的学习环境和教学方法,为教师提供了宝贵的借鉴。与会教师积极提问,Sophia耐心解答并分享相关资源,帮助教师更好地指导有意赴新西兰留学的学生。
    International high school teachers participated in a training session on New Zealand education led by immigration education consultant Ms. Sophia Cheng, aimed at helping educators understand New Zealand's education system and study abroad policies. Ms. Cheng provided a detailed overview of New Zealand's educational structure, academic system, and assessment methods, emphasizing the country's focus on fostering independent learning, creative thinking, and practical skills. Through specific examples, she illustrated the learning environments and teaching methods used in New Zealand schools, offering valuable insights for teachers. Participants actively engaged in discussions, raising practical questions and challenges regarding studying in New Zealand. Ms. Cheng patiently addressed their inquiries and shared relevant resources, helping teachers better guide students interested in pursuing studies in New Zealand.
